Random Adorable Moment of the Day

When Sgt. James Butler spotted a lost little boy power walking down Des Moines’ Court Avenue he approached the tyke and asked him where his parents were.

From the Des Moines Register:

“I don’t know,” the boy said. Butler radioed dispatchers to ask if there had been any missing child reports. There hadn’t. Butler asked the boy his name.

“Reuben,” he said.

Butler asked, “What’s your last name?”

The boy replied, “Spider-Man.”

Butler bought lil’ Reuben Spider-Man a McDonald’s Happy Meal and drove him around in hopes that the four-year-old might spot his house. After a while Butler received news that Liberian immigrants were searching for their missing nephew who had wandered away from a park.

He returned Mr. Spider-Man to his family safe and sound, but never did learn the boy’s real surname, which would have undoubtedly made this story much less adorable.
